We are located in the conservation area only a few minutes stroll from St Albans city centre and Verulanium Park. Wherever you are located in St Albans, we invite you to come down to the The Portland Arms, and experience the true pub experience you have been looking for! We are St Albans' most secret pub, but once you visit us you will never forget enjoying our welcoming hospitality. 

We have a range of events every week from live acoustic music on Sundays, open mic night on Tuesdays, probably ' the best Quiz in St Albans' on Wednesdays, live bands on Saturdays and our monthly Jazz Jam on the 3rd Thursday every month.

One of the best Sunday Lunch’s in St Albans is served 12-4.00pm. You can choose from a varied selection of traditional British roast meats, beef, lamb or pork, with good sized portions of fresh vegetables, Yorkshire Pudding and home-made gravy. They are now so popular that it is advisable to book however we can accomodate a number of walk-in’s on the day.
